Bodybuilding Musclewomen

The Same Objective as Men, But a Different Approach.. You know, I really can’t talk about body building for women but if you want to know what Vince Del Monte has to say about it or the 5 things that is false in body building, Click Here!

muscle woman body buildingMore time and effort are spent on preparing for bodybuilding competitions than on any other single sport in the world. You read it right. Bodybuilding is a sport. It involves hours and hours of intense training to produce a winning musclewoman or muscleman.

To sculpt a body fit for showing and competition, it takes tremendous effort. The common goal of men’s and women’s bodybuilding is bodily perfection, but the approach must differ due to the inherent differences in the male and female anatomies and metabolisms.

The female body is not meant to develop the massive bulk of the male body, and cannot without chemical assistance. The exercises and diets of male bodybuilders result in different results for women.

Activities of Bodybuilding Women

Musclewomen do lift weights, eat high-protein diets, and take natural supplements. This results in a body with great conditioning, defined musculature, and even “six-pack abs”, but without developing the huge muscle size seen in male bodybuilders.

Building MusclewomanWomen’s bodybuilding has gone through several phases. In the early days of the sport, a smooth, shapely figure was preferred, followed later by massive muscle development artificially created by the use of anabolic steroids and male growth hormones. Some female bodybuilders of this era became so bulky and muscular, it was grotesque and they looked more male than female.

At the present, thank goodness, emphasis has returned to a more natural appearance for female bodybuilders. This is attained by doing a lot of resistance exercises to provide definition and muscularity, but retaining their natural feminine shape (Think Demi Moore in “GI Jane”).

Becoming a musclewoman begins with resistance training and weights. Every muscle group in the body is worked to the point of exhaustion a minimum of once weekly, just like male bodybuilders. However, women’s bodies are quite different from men’s bodies, and their upper and lower body sculpting require different exercises.

Female bodybuilding places far more emphasis on hip flexors, abductor and adductor muscles (in the inner and outer thighs). Squats and thigh and biceps curls work the quadriceps and hamstrings, and then calf raises finish the lower body.

Women work the chest muscles of the upper body by means of machine presses or barbells, machine or dumbbell flies, arm work, and shoulder presses.

Women’s arms are pumped with dumbbell and barbell curls, French presses on the bench, and triceps press-downs. The advanced female bodybuilder is able to lift an impressive amount of weight in each workout.

Nutrition for Building Musclewomen

An important aspect of building musclewomen is nutrition. This diet consists of about 25 percent protein, 40 percent of complex carbohydrates (not refined sugars or starches), and the rest of the dietary needs met by fats and fiber. This is used to rebuild tissue damaged by intense workouts.

Body building womenDietary supplements mustn’t be ignored. Protein powder mixed with raw milk, amino acids to assist with fat burning and protein metabolization are important Hearty egg consumption is vital, since it is the best source of usable protein.

Soluble oils such as wheat germ oil should be taken for energy and endurance, along with desiccated liver and kelp for an intense protein boost.

The final aspect of women’s bodybuilding is competition. Just as women’s bodies are different from men’s, they are also displayed differently. While women bodybuilders do use some of the male poses, such as flexing the shoulders, backs, and arms, women’s bodybuilding poses are generally far more graceful and are meant to show the well-developed female body at its finest.

All in all, what it takes to build a musclewoman is very much like what it takes to build a muscleman, but the approach is a bit different, because it takes into account the form and metabolism of women. The results of all this effort, however, are every bit as amazing as the results of men’s bodybuilding.
