Burning Belly Fat Foods

Everyone wants to get rid of the excess fats around their mid-section. There are five great foods that will help in reducing the amount of fat in your abdomen…

One great food is cinnamon. The essential oils in cinnamon not only burns away excess abdominal fat, it also helps to improve digestion. Plus, it is a tasty add-on to oatmeal and other breakfast fare.

Canola oil has been found to promote the rapid burning of fat and calories (through the metabolic process known as thermogenesis) and boost the body’s metabolism. It also functions as an appetite suppressant.

Rose hip seeds are loaded with antioxidants, specifically flavonoids and vitamin C, which help boost metabolism. It is also a known detoxifier and reduces the stresses of oxidation in the cells of the body. It also improves the immobilization of belly fats.

While many doctors advise people to limit their intake of eggs, truth to tell, eggs are one of the best foods for burning abdominal fat. The biotin in eggs helps promote rapid processing of fats that have accumulated in the body.

Nuts, like peanuts and almonds, are rich in essential fatty acids that are required for fat metabolism and weight loss. Another plus is that eating nuts promotes quick satiety, so that people tend to eat less.

Of course, it is not enough to eat these burning belly fat foods. It is also important to observe certain eating habits that will promote weight loss.

First of all, make it a point to eat every 3 to 4 hours instead of limiting yourself to the big three meals. This will prevent you from suffering from hunger pangs. Also, it is not advisable to skip meals since you only make yourself hungrier, so that you tend to eat more. Research studies have shown that when you are in a state of hunger, just the aroma of food causes your stomach to produce large quantities of hydrochloric acid, resulting in bloating. You don’t have to go on a binge. You can simply satisfy your hunger with a slice of fruit or a piece of toast between meals.

A lot of people seem to have forgotten the right way to eat. The golden rule is to always chew your food slowly and very well. Foods that have not been chewed properly tend to produce methane in the stomach, leading to gas pains and bloating.

Make it a point to drink a hot beverage every morning. Because your belly is bloated when you wake up, you can deflate your tummy by taking a hot drink like aloe vera. If you have a tendency for bloating and flatulence, reduce your intake of carbohydrates and eat more of fruits, vegetables and fiber to hasten the elimination of toxins, waste and gas from your digestive system.

Last but not least, reduce your salt intake. The high sodium content in salt promotes fluid retention and edema in your abdomen and legs. To make your food tastier, use lemon, oregano and other spices. Reduce your intake of processed, sodium-rich foods such as ham, bacon, aged cheese, smoked or salted fish, and sausages. For women who suffer from regular episodes of PMS, it is best to remove salt from their diet one week before their next menstrual period.
